US election: Trump and Harris pick up expected wins; vote-counting underway in swing states

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have notched up early but expected wins in several states, with polls now closed in all seven swing states that are too close to call. 
US media have projected wins for Trump so far in places like Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Harris has so far captured the largest prize of California, along with Rhode Island, Maryland, Massachusetts, Vermont and the US capital Washington, DC, among other states.
