    Description

    A very pretty little yet substantial French teaset - tea for two or tea for one - by Gutave Keller, Paris, France, made of solid silver of the .950 standard, comprising teapot 5 inches high and 6 1/4" inches spout to handle (pot holds approximately 9 3/4 fluid ounces), sugar bowl with removable lid 4 1/4" high and 4 1/2" over the handles and creamer 1 3/4" high and 3 1/4" spout to handle, all pieces marked with the French 1st Standard head of Minerva .950 silver mark, with Keller's registered maker mark and "G. KELLER PARIS", the pot handle also marked with the standard mark, the sugar bowl lid marked with the standard mark and maker mark, a very simple design with round bodies, narrowed necks, set on pedestals with thread molding at the foot, rim and lip of the lids, with harp handles and round finials, with a gold wash inside the creamer, the pot handle firmly set on its insulators, both pot and creamer pour well without drips, unmonogrammed, of very good quality throughout and very substantial weight for its size, in very good condition without any dents, breaks or repairs, the whole set weighs 23.4 troy ounces or 728.1 grams.
