Boxed German .835 Silver-Handled 12pc Dessert, Cake Fork Set - Rose decoration

Description

Boxed set of twelve vintage mid-20th century German .835 silver and gilt metal dessert, cake forks with rose and leaf decoration, made by the firm of Lutz & Weiss in Pforzheim, circa 1940.  In good condition overall. Ligth age tarnish, faint surface scratches and tiny dimples possible on the handles but no large dents, splits or repairs. The metal blades shows some wear or pitting to the gilt surfaces.
They measure 6 9/16 inches (16,7 cm) and weigh a combined weight of 297 grams.
Total weight with box is 761 grams.
The handles are marked with the post 1888 German crown & crescent moon national mark and .835 silver standard mark for 83,5% silver purity. Maker's marks are for Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim. The Lutz & Weiß Silverware Factory was founded in 1882.
